One of the most popular home security systems available today are the wireless burglar alarms. Offering the same benefits of older wired alarms, these systems use newer technology that is easily installed and requires no wires. An infrared light source is aimed to a detector. Any time the light beam is broken, the alarm is triggered. These lights take the place of the foil strips that used to surround windows of homes with security systems. They have proven to be very effective in monitoring homes.

The system can be combined with WiFi in order to make an even better wireless system. WiFi allows for easy expansion of the system so that very large areas such as industrial plants can be protected by wireless security systems.
