Ultralight rods have a lot better as more and more anglers are finding their way to this end of the sport. People have ponds and reservoirs located all around them that aren’t quite big enough to get a boat in, and are still within walking distance or a short bike ride away. Having to load up all of the big heavy pro bass fishing gear is a pain in the rear, but throwing a small ultralight fishing rod and a small tackle box in your back pocket, you have instant access to any pond within reach. The ultralight rods have incredible backbone and superior strength allowing you to apply a lot more pressure on fish. These aren’t your grandfathers buggy whip rods for catching crappie anymore!
