It is often said that red cars receive more different than other cars because of their color and the fact that they stand out from a crowd of white, black, and tan colored cars. However, there are no official statistics that prove this urban legend. Police and insurance companies also deny a link between an increase in tickets and accidents associated with red cars.

However, driving the speed limit or at least close to it will most likely ensure that you will not get pulled over for a ticket. An interesting study that was taken in Canada was studying the psychology of why people choose to drive certain color cars, and red was determined to be the color of “need for speed” which could be an association of why this legend is so heavily supported.
