If you are the owner of power tools you will probably want to lock the in so that nobody can steal them. While shelves are great for storage they can’t be used for that and you will therefore need a cabinet. If you are planning on keeping valuable equipment in the cabinet I suggest you go for one that is made out of metal. Wood cabinets can be great but metal ones will be safer and harder to get into.
