A good bodybuilder must understand that that diet is one of the most important things in order to build muscle, there could never be any bodybuilding unless one takes in foods that contribute to the muscle development and supplies the body with the energy it needs to work out. Most people who start working out to build muscle never go far because they fail to heed all the factors that determine proper bodybuilding habits, diet being one of them. In this article, I will highlight the issues that play a significant role in muscle development and how you can simplify the understanding working out to gain lean muscle mass.
Point 1: Eat regularly and more frequently in a day
In order to supply the body with the energy it needs for the workouts and the necessary nutrients for growth, you have to eat regularly and frequently in a day. Eat about five to seven meals in a day but be sure that the foods are healthy and have positive nutritional value to keep your energy levels high while supplying the body with nutrients and minerals for growth.
Point 2: Balance your muscle building diets
You have to be sure that you include about 50 percent carbohydrates, 30 percent proteins and 20 percent fats. This is one of the most effective ways to ensure that the body has enough amino acids that are required for body growth, specifically the muscles. Although a high percentage of carbohydrates is required, you must be careful not to take in processed carbohydrates or bad fats. Good fats are often those from plants while complex carbohydrates are recommended.
Point 3: Time your meals well
I mentioned before that you have to watch what you eat but you also have to time your meals such that you eat roughly an hour or two away from your workouts. Also, it is important to eat about an hour after the workouts and if possible take a glass of protein shake to speed up the recovery process from exhaustion, Take another protein shake before going to bed to because the actual muscle building takes place while you are sleeping and not during exercising.
Point 4: As you plan your diet for building muscle, you have to make sure that you include all the essential minerals and foods otherwise your process of building muscles will not be as effective as it is supposed to be. Since diet is one of the most important factors in building muscles, you have to invest sufficient time in understanding how you should calculate your calories intake and know the foods that will give you the carbs.
These are only basic points that are supposed to guide you gain some weight to bulk up especially if you are a thin “hard gainer” kind of a person. Anyone can bulk up with ease, just know how and what to do. The steps may be more but believe me in the long run it will be worth it because when you have high muscle mass, you will have a look in the mirror and wonder who that is.
