Reiki Massage Table

Choosing a Reiki Massage Table

Reiki massage is different from regular massage in that the masseur does not rub the muscles of the client. Rather, the hands remain quiet and the practitioner’s spiritual healing energy is sent through his channels to the patient.

In choosing a Reiki massage table, you first need to consider whether you want it to be made of metal or wood. Wood absorbs energy but has gentler vibration, while metal creates a Reiki circuit around the table. Another consideration is fixed vs. portable. You should also look for a table that has open space for the practitioner’s knees, since she will spend most of her time sitting at the client’s head or feet. Above all, go to a place where you can see and touch the table before making a purchase.

Body Massage Benefits the Body and Mind

Massage therapy is good for the body and the mind, great at alleviating stress and helping the muscles relax giving a sense of wellbeing as well as aiding common complaints such as back ache, insomnia and muscle pain.  Massage is also very beneficial to anyone suffering from poor circulation.  The process of body massage and the massage techniques employed during a massage session can help improve the flow of blood and improve sluggish circulation.

Not only can massage help the body to relax, it has also proven to be great at reducing stress and a course of massage therapy for anyone showing symptoms of stress has shown to help the client enormously.  Stress is also often the cause of muscle pain, as a person feeling stressed has the tendency to “bunch” their muscles causing stiffness and aches and pains.  Massage works on both the mind and body helping to relieve the sufferer of both conditions, without the need for medication.
