Maintaining Your Gas Scooter
Posted by admin in Auto Repair and Maintenance on August 26th, 2009
Gas scooters are an exceptionally efficient, money-saving mode of transportation that can also be a lot of fun. However, just as with any vehicle, it is critical that you have regular maintenance performed on your ride.
Scooters include most of the same mechanics as cars or trucks. They have a motor, of course, as well as brakes, a battery, suspension, tires, and so forth. That engine requires oil for lubrication, just like your SUV does. Then there are sparks plugs, air filters, headlight and turn signal bulbs, and so on. You should also check the fluids, tire pressure, and so forth regularly on you scooter.
When you buy your gas scooter, take the time to read the instruction manual thoroughly. It should include a maintenance schedule to let you know when it is time for an oil change or other service. Most likely, the dealer you bought the scooter from has mechanics who can handle this for you. They will be eager to make sure that your new vehicle will continue to perform safely and reliably.
Gas Scooters Save Money at the Pump

If you’ve been hit in the wallet by the recent economic downturn and prices at the gas pump maybe a gas scooter can ease the burden. Your average gas scooter can get 50 miles per gallon and there are models like the Yamaha C3 that can get up to 115 miles per gallon. Granted, you can haul as much stuff around but if you’re going to run down to the store to pick up a few things, go to the movies, or maybe commute to work, you’ll save a lot of money. Not only save money on gas but on maintenance costs. The initial costs will also be lower, a scooter can cost a quarter of what a used car can cost. Insurance costs can also be lower for scooters than for cars, not to mention parking. And they’re just plain fun! Maybe a gas scooter is in your future.
