Finding Freelance Writing Advice

The hardest part of freelance writing is often getting started.  I know for me, that was the biggest obstacle.  It’s easy to go into information overload, or spend so much time reading about the nuances of writing for money that you never get started and learn the major parts of the writing business.  Many of the most important lessons in freelance writing can only be learned from experience.  Not getting started right now is the worst disservice that any starting freelancer can do to his or herself.

If you’re getting into freelance writing for the first time, there is no better advice than to simply get started.  Once you’re freelance writing for money and getting into the writing business, then there is a time and place to finding mentors or finding quality information that can help you improve yourself as a writer and a business person.  There are many excellent places to find good writing advice online.

Google “freelance writing blogs” and you can find pages of really good blogs from writers who have been there, done that, and make a good living doing what they love.  Finding freelance writing advice isn’t hard, but it won’t do you any good unless you have the courage to act.
