The Difference Between Baby Sleep Sacks and Baby Sleeping Bags

Knowing the value of a good sleep sack is important, especially if you love camping out like me and my wife do. We are very emotional about going camping with our new infant but we need to make sure that when we go camping out that we are safe and cosy.
I have been looking into infant slumber pouches and babe sleeping bags. If you search for baby sleeping bag into Google search you get a lot of bags that the baby can sleep in. Well I guess that makes sense because not everyone thinks about taking their small one tenting. We are going to be birthing our babe in November so it will be a while until he is able to go camping out
I started looking at baby sleeping bags for our new son. I noticed things that more look like a sack that he slept in. It had a zipper on it and some of them had sleeves and some of them didn’t. The idea of having no sleeves for better circulation sounds like a better idea to me.
Infant sleep pouches and baby sleeping bags are pretty much the same thing. It is very hard to find a manufacture that makes a actual camping sleep sack for a babe. I would think that it would not be the safest thing to put your new baby in a tenting sleeping bag. Since they don’t have shoulder straps to keep the baby’s head up above the sleeping bag, it is possible for the head to fall down into the bag and the baby may suffocate.
I have read this simple solution so the infant can’t slip down into the bag. You can wrap something around the sleep bag in the spot that you want to stop the infant from sliding. I have read people using their belt or even a cord of some kind.
The infant nap sack is a great thing though because it keeps your babe warm the night because he can’t kick off his blanket during the night. I think it is also great because it keeps him on his back throughout the night. When they are sized right their head won’t slide down into the bag and they will have plenty of room to kick their little feet without feeling squished.
