Plus size formal Gowns

When shopping for plus size formal gowns, it’s important to remember that every designer has their own size chart. You may be a size 16 with one designer and a size 14 or 18 in another. In order to find your correct size, you should always carry a current list of your measurements including; waist, bust, hips and, if necessary, length of dress size.

While sizes may vary by designer, there are standard sizes for the industry. If the merchant doesn’t have a size chart, it most likely will conform to standard sizes. Standard sizes can be found on Wikipedia.com and even in catalogs. Most catalog clothing will have the sizing charts for general clothing as well as designers featured in the catalog. The standard sizes are non-designer brands.

It’s much easier to try on dresses when you have a good idea which size will fit first. Trying on several dresses to get a proper size, instead of seeing if you like the look, is very frustrating. I hope this information eases the shopping experience.
