Oregon’s southern beaches come alive in the summer time with thousands of Oregonians from the Willamette Valley streaming to the beaches with their kids and their dogs and campers in tow. The south beaches are known for temperate weather from July until the middle of October and rain-soaked Oregonians can’t wait to soak up the sun. Popular activities include walking the beaches, play Frisbee, hunting for rock and agates, and fishing from any rock where you can cast into the waves.
Probably the most popular towns on the south Oregon coast are Gold Beach and Bandon. If you plan to visit this area during the summer months and stay overnight, you need to make your reservation with one of the Bandon hotels or Gold Beach hotels well in advance.
