Jumpin Exercises


Everyone that plays a sport wants to jump higher.  I am going to teach you what you can do to increase your vertical leap.  Jumping is all about teaching your muscle fibers to all fire at the exact same time.  Repetition is a great way of learning and muscle memory is no different.  Remember that you want to lean how to jump higher and not how to jump for longer periods of time.  So the jumping exercises should be low reps but with all the effort you can give on each rep.

Squats are great way to start.  Doing jump squats is a great way to build some mucsle while also gaining a bit of speed in the legs.  You want to switch it up from going down slowly and then exploding up and then try droping quickly and exploding up to the jump.  Finally you need to put in a couple of sets where you just go slow to build muscle.
