If you are like me, you hold on to tools until they just break or stop working. It’s just that I want to get every last ounce of value out of a tool, especially cordless power tools, in order to feel like I got a great deal overall. I do this even when a tools that is wearing out is actually slowing me down on the jobsite. Well, my old Makita drill recently broke without any chance of repairing it. I knew I was probably going to replace the drill with another Makita cordless drill. But I didn’t know exactly which model I was going to get. Then one of the guys on my current job showed me his new Makita LXT drill with the new lithium ion battery pack. Whoaa! That drill has twice the torque of my old drill before it started going downhill. So, now I know which cordless Makita drill I will be getting once I get that next paycheck.
