I’ve got a friend who bought a house with a pool. The house was in pretty good shape, but the pool hadn’t been used in a few years, and it showed. It was an above ground swimming pool and it needed some help. He ended up having to replace the swimming pool liner after discovering that it was leaking. He invested in upgrading the pool cleaner system since the one it came with was making some unpleasant sounds. And he also got a new pool desk and ladder and a solar pool cover.
After a few months of living in his house, he invited me over to show off the pool. He and his family had made their above ground swimming pool into a special private retreat for themselves and their friends. Getting the pool back in shape was definitely worth it.
