Necessary Powerlifting Apparel

If you ever wondered what apparel is used in powerlifting here is the detailed list. It is also noted in which disciplines the items are used.
Main apparel used for preventing injuries and helping during lifting is: squat suit, bench shirt, deadlift suit. Other necessary stuff, which also increase safety during training and competition are: weight belt, squat shoes or boots, knee wraps and wrist wraps. Powerlifting singlet is a piece of clothing that is required during bench press. It does not provide aid with the lifting like bench shirt does.
Some additional accessories are used for achieving even greater results and increasing safety: chalk for stronger grip support, deadlift socks for protecting shins from scraping and plain baby powder applied on thighs to keep the barbell running smoothly during deadlift.

Swimming Pool Advancements

Many of the advancements in swimming pool design and construction have come from the Paddock organization, a leader in the swimming pool industry.
Years ago, swimming pools were made using poured in concrete. Poured in concrete did not allow builders to make pools in the variety of shapes you see today. Poured in concrete expands when it dries and does not hold up well over time. Paddock developed a new technique for building the exterior of pools called guniting. Gunite is a substance made up of concrete and sand mixed together. It is applied to the pool exterior using a hose that is under pressure. Gunite allowed pools to be made in a variety of free form shapes and holds up better over time.
Not only did Paddock revolutionize pool building, they also made huge advancements in water sanitation practices. Back when floating debris was a common site on the surface water of pools, pool owners would have to use poles with nets to clean the surface water. Another method used to clean surface water was to simply put it to waste. A Paddock service technician came up with the idea of using the pool’s existing filtration system to clean surface water. The recirculating filtration system soon became an accepted practice among pool builders.
There is one drawback to the new filtration system: it requires the installation of perimeter piping. Installing piping around the perimeter of the pool is expensive. Over time, this piping will break down and need maintenance. To resolve this issue, Paddock Pools developed the pipeless perimeter system, which is installed by a commercial swimming pool builder. This system uses stainless steel gutters at the water level of the pool. Water that flows over the lip of the pool is carried through the gutters for filtration. These gutters are very durable and often last the entire life of the pool.
MBS Pro 100

Mountainboarding has come a long way since it started just over 10 years ago. Boards have moved from being built in sheds and garages using borrowed parts and some very rough engineering to refined pieces of kit with months of research and development behind them. Production is now done from state of the art facilities in China and other areas in South East Asia.
The level of riding has shot up. Now it is rapidly approaching similar levels to snowboarding. Snowboarding still dwarfs mountainboarding in terms of amplitude but not so much technicality. The top pro level board in mountainboarding is the MBS Pro 100. The 100 refers to the deck length. The deck itself is created using reverse cap construction similar to that used on many snowboards. The hubs are made of extruded aluminum and the trucks are the lighter version of the bombproof and super adjustable matrix truck system. This board is made to be fairly light but really strong and able to withstand landings from big jumps. The deck’s stiffness allows the rider to generate great pop and height in their jumps.

How I spent my father’s day

So there I was thinking my family forgot father’s day once again!!! What was I to do? It was my day should I just get up and head for the hills? Early that afternoon I was working out in the shed when my wife text me to come into the house for lunch. As I got to the back door I was met by my two kids opened arms wishing me a happy father’s day!!! Along with those open arms came the most amazing gift. Two passes to 18 holes of golf at the local country club. I don’t know how they pulled that off seeing that we are not members but it was the best gift that money could by. I quickly ate lunch and got on the phone and called my best buddy to see if he wanted to get 18 in this afternoon. I was so excited, I just had all my golf clubs re-gripped and have been waiting for and excuse to go play 18. Here it was in my lap; 18 holes here we come!

Similar to skiing, snowboarding use metal edges on a plastic board to provide a sharp edge to turn (carve) and stop. Unlike skiing, snowboarding uses a board with both feet strapped to it. Your feet are strapped facing each other a little wider than shoulder width apart. You then face to your right (Goofy Footed) or left (Regular Footed) and slide down the mountain. By using your rear foot to slide the back of the board to the left or right, and by leaning the oposite direction you slide the back of the board, you are able to turn and stop. Snowboarding is closely associated with skateboarding and extreme sports. It is definitely part of those genres, but can also be enjoyed by leisurely types as well.

If you’re used to fishing in rivers and streams, should you buy separate saltwater fishing tackle to hit the brine? If you’re using one of the most lightweight freshwater rods available, it might be too slight for larger ocean fish varieties. But if you’re already using a fairly sturdy rod and reel, you should have no problems using your existing fishing tackle. However, if you’re going to fish in saltwater more than occasionally, you’re better off investing in a separate set of sea gear that’s designed to stand up to the corrosive properties of salt. Otherwise, be especially diligent when cleaning your gear so that no salt is left to damage your equipment.
You can use freshwater and saltwater lures interchangeably, but buy some hooks made from steel for your saltwater expeditions. And don’t forget that each type of fish responds best to different types of lures, so a few dollars spent on new ones can make your fishing trip more enjoyable.
