My Reflection In Glass Tables
I can’t stand them; they look back at me as I walk past them in the sunlight on my way to the coffee shop. The tops of glass tables
are a bane to mankind because they reveal the inner soul of the person looking into them. In that way, they are just like the mirror in Oscar Wilde’s “The Picture of Dorian Gray”. That’s not to say that I am in any danger of dissolving into a puddle of decadence, but more often than not I am suffering a violent hangover threatening to end in derangement or death. This journey, then, past the mirrored surfaces of the glass tables etches in sharp relief my struggles with my inability to finish my novel, and my efforts to seek relief for this writer’ block in the bottom of a liquor bottle.
Happiness Around the Glass Top Dining Tables

on the terrace of the outdoor restaurant. It had been an eventful day, and people wanted to enjoy themselves in the bright sunshine. Earlier in the day, a famous chef had agreed to cook paella in a huge sauté pan over an open fire. Many of the citizens considered paella a special dish, and they felt enormous joy at the prospect of eating outdoors among their neighbors. The local wine merchant, a man with a deep commitment to the community, made available several barrels of new white wine. The combination of gourmet paella and fresh white wine generated a communal awareness of how wonderful life could be when the taste buds shivered pleasantly in anticipation of a treat. Many of the citizens, carried away by their joy and sense of well being, hummed light, happy tunes and greeted each other with a smile.
Self Respect
I was at work today and some of my coworkers were talking about how their daughters were getting older and starting to like boys. They are worried that they will like those boys a little too much. The thing is you really don’t have that much control over what a teenager is going to do. I think it is better for them to tell the truth a not be penalized rather than lie and you never know their tribulations. This is difficult to do as a parent. It may do some good to buy your daughter an eternity rings and explain that it symbolizes her commitment to herself. May be making it too much about sex is a mistake and it should rather be about always being true to her believes and never giving in to someone just because that is what they want. I think it is important to talk to your children because all of it is new and embarrassing to them. They don’t understand why they have the feelings they have and what they mean. Telling them that their feelings are bad just doesn’t seem to be the solution. The ring could be a symbol of strength and independence that could end up being passed on to her daughter with the same communication and understanding.
GPS Sports Apparel
I am getting ready to go on a short summer vacation with the family as soon as the kids are out of school. We are all just a little bit excited about this trip as it tuned into a mini reunion of sorts. We had been talking it up for a while so other family members decided to join us. We are going to a little resort on a lake. They have cabins there for rent and I think with all of the family we are going to have 4 cabins full of just our blood. I even started packing early. I got all of the goodies we need for the outdoor fun from fishing poles, a handheld GPS, sports apparel and other outdoor game gear. It should be a great vacation!

Did you know that there are watches out there that don’t need batteries? These watches are called automatic or mechanical watches. The way that the work is from a roter at the back of the watch that moves whenever the wearer moves. This pushes on a spring which in turn winds the watch. The only problem with a watch like this is that I it has to be worn in order for it to keep working. You could also put it in one of these automatic winder boxes that move the watch for you, but then you are wasting a lot of energy and that seems to defeat the purpose. Another disadvantage with these watches is that they don’t keep time very well. Whenever people do watch repair on them it can take a long time. They are also very expensive, but are considered to be like a piece of art because they are so well made.
Nightlife in Napa, CA
I could end this article right now because the nightlife in Napa is close to none. There are a few dive bars in Napa, but that is about the extent of it. These dive bars vary widely in their patronage, and their patronage is very different each night of the week. During the week the bars a frequented by locals drinking the workday away, but on the weekends in the summer they fill up with the tourists that are looking for something less coture than wine tasting. These places can be very interesting on a Saturday in July simply because of the mix of people. There are tourists looking for a wild way to enjoy their vacation and the people who travel with relatives looking for a way to get away from them.

Attending a vegan party is just like attending a non-vegan party, minus the animal products. With a little you will be able to find a vegan gift, vegan beer and wine, and great vegan food. If the party requires you to bring something to eat, but are unsure how to cook vegan or worry that your kitchen may not be up to vegan standards, stop at a local vegetarian restaurant and pick something up. Or take the easier route and bring chips and guacamole, just be sure to read the ingredients on the labels. Some beer is not vegan because it is filtered with bone char, or clarified with gelatin or fish bladder. A quick google search for “vegan beer” will help you determine what to bring. Most of the common brews are vegan.
How to Make a Pressed Flower Christmas Tree Ball
1. Use a Styrofoam ball the size of your desired decoration.
2. Cut a four or five inch length of pipe cleaner for the hanger. Dip one end into crafting glue, covering about an inch. Press this end into the Styrofoam ball. Bend a part of the remaining stem, creating a hanger. Allow the glue to dry before proceeding.
3. Cover a small area of the ball with Mod Podge using a crafting brush. Place a dried flower on the area and brush another layer of Mod Podge over the flower. Continue the process until the flower is covered with flowers and leaves.
4. Brush the entire ball with another coat of Mod Podge. The ball can be sprinkled with glitter if desired.
5. Hang until dry. The Mod Podge will dry clear and the flowers will be preserved.
I have had some of these ball for over 12 years and I use them every Christmas. The color of the flowers is still as bright as when I made them.
