A wireless mouse is a great addition

So who here is sick of the standard laptop mouse and is ready to step up into a wireless mouse? I know I was when I made the switch. Touchpads are terrible, mice with the ball on the bottom are jerky and outdated. If you were ilke me, you went ahead and made the jump and never looked back. The ease of use and the smoothness on the screen are unmatched, plus you get the benefit of being able to use your mouse anywhere.

If you’re a big gamer, not using a wireless mouse is going to make your life miserable. Have you ever tried to use a touchpad mouse for first person shooters? I know I have, and it’s a terrible way to go about life, let me tell you. The fluidity of the screen and, most importantly, the sensitivity of your movements are going to be hindered without going with a wireless laser mouse. Get one and be done with it.

Okay, let’s talk about what you should really be looking for in a gaming wireless mouse. Tracking resolution is a great metric to start out with. This can usually be found when you look on the box, or if buying online, is usually listed somewhere on the product page. The higher the resolution, the better the mouse is going to track. That’s going to really help you do well with your games, and will bring up the sensitivity and accuracy noticably.

Should your mouse have a million different buttons on it? That depends on what you’re using it for. If you’re using it for a lot of work with AutoCAD, photoshop, etc., you may need a lot of function buttons. For games, you may need less. Do your shopping and figure out what you need first. Also, make sure your mouse fits well in your hand. You can really strain your hand if you use your wireless mouse too much and it doesn’t fit you quite right.
