It seems that laptops are becoming more and more common. I remember when I was at college, I had to use a pen and paper, but now my daughter has to carry a laptop. Technology is great but you have to think that the teachers are getting a little bit lazy and letting the computers do all the work. Anyway, as she has to carry this thing to and from college each day I decided to get here a stylish black leather messenger bag to carry it in.
The bag I got is great, and replaces the need for her laptop bag and a separate brown leather shoulder bag. This is because the bag I got here is big enough to carry all that she needs for classes. It’s great for carrying a laptop as it has a padded internal pocket to keep the laptop safe, complete with a strap to make it very difficult for any opportunists to slide the laptop out of the bag.
I was surprised that I was actually able to get a great deal. I though that leather would be expensive, though I was prepared to spend a little bit more as I know that leather lasts a long time. What I found when I started looking for the bag is that there is a lot of choice at all price ranges. I was wary not to get anything too cheap, as I know that cheap leather can fall apart quite quickly. I made sure to get one with a good quality padded strap to make carrying a bag a comfortable experience. I also made sure that the stitching on the bag was good so that it will last.
I am certainly pleased with the bag that I got for my daughter. She loves it and is proud to use it for college everyday. All I have to get her to do is get of those social sites on her laptop and on with here homework!

Perfume Review: Dolce Vita by Christian Dior

Dolce Vita by Christian Dior was created in the middle of the nineties, and it is based on intense florals, which in the end lower their intensity down to spices and woods. It is an intense and concentrated fragrance, with a more mature style than the other current floral perfumes (like for example Pure Poison Perfume by the same Dior).
The opening is slightly sour, with quite intense floral notes of magnolia and ylang-ylang with roses. It is sweet at times, but what really stands out is the intensity of florals. In the middle notes the sour aroma becomes spicy, with a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg and sandalwood, which leaves a tingling in the throat when smelt from a short distance. There is also a line of notes of soft smoked woods. As time passes, cinnamon and sandalwood become more prominent than nutmeg, and in the base notes the floral notes tend to disappear in favour of soft wood ans spices.
There is a line of non-sweet vanilla and traces of sweet fruity notes, which can be the official notes of apricot or damascus in the bottle. In the background there is a floral note, but very different from the one of the opening. It gives a feeling of cumin seeds, and it is probably the result of Heliotrope flower mixed with cinnamon, as declared in the bottle.
The mix of floral notes feels like a very tightly tied bunch of flowers: compact, dense and not very fresh. It has a mature style, not old, but between a traditional floral and an elegant and intense fragrance of the eighties. It doesn’t seem very appropriate to be used on daily basis, in a work environment it can stand out, but it should be a job that involves moving around in open spaces, rather than sitting down at a desk. Night time suits this fragrance better (with this respect it feels like the feminine counterpart of Fahrenheit Christian Dior), where it is intense and different enough to tand the competition of other fragrances. The same intensity plays against the use on a first date, as its purpose is to stand out rather than attracting. The ideal age to wear this perfume starts at 40.
